Current research areas can be listed roughly as solid-state physics, atomic, molecular and optical physics, particle physics, astrophysics, geophysics and biophysics. It contains the experiments done to test the theoretical predictions, Physical Science contains the works of producing mathematical models that can be tested with experiments.

Environmental science is a multidisciplinary academic field that integrates physical, biological and information sciences to the study of the environment, and the solution of environmental problems. Environmental science provides an integrated, quantitative, and interdisciplinary approach to the study of environmental systems.

Multimedia is usually recorded and played, displayed, or accessed by information content processing devices, such as computerized and electronic devices, but can also be part of a live performance. Multimedia devices are electronic media devices used to store and experience multimedia content.

"the study of quantity, structure, space and change." With a definition like that, it's easy to see why math is often called "the language of science." projects in Math field is stating scientific theories in a way that is clear, succinct, and testable.

What Is ATAST?

Since its first appearance in 2007, ATAST (Tunisian Association for the Future of Sciences and Technology, or l’Association Tunisienne pour l’Avenir des Sciences et Technologie, as it is abbreviated in French) has continually proved itself serious and dedicated in paving the road of scientific and technological development in Tunisia. ATAST started transforming from a small school club into the association it is today, with its establishment as an official scientific association dating to 2011, since then ATAST members have honorably represented Tunisia in many International Festivals and competitions. The Tunisian Representatives are selected by a team of dedicated supervisors. Selection is based on the contestants’ skills and previous results they’ve acquired in the many national events that ATAST organizes over the course of the year.

Some of the national events ATAST organizes are: TUNISIE BRICOLAGE, or TUNIBRICO, is the bricolage contest the association organizes yearly. BE A TEACHER for a while or BAT, The innovative Pedagogy contest for youth the association organizes yearly. SPELLING, the national Spelling Bee the association organizes yearly. SCIENCE THROUGH MY CAM, the innovative scientific filming contest the association organizes yearly. SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY CAMP, or STC, a scientific summer camp the association organizes yearly. TUNISIAN SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING FESTIVAL, or TSEF, is the national scientific innovation contest the association organizes. ATAST also has the privilege of being the sole host of the International Festival of Engineering Sciences and Technology in Tunisia, or I-FEST², which appeared in its first edition in August of 2014. ATAST also hosted the international contest in Cybersecurity, Capture The Flag, that occurred in February of 2013 for the first time in the Arab World.

ATAST has many goals; the further development of scientific and technological capabilities of youth is one of them. We work to encourage and maintain the innovative spirits in any and all, no matter the age. We also aim to create a well-organized, well-maintained and well-supervised training space in order to facilitate experience and thought exchange. One of our biggest goals however is to unite the scientific groups and organizations under one banner for further improvement of scientific development and thinking.

Get To Know Tunisia

Tunisia's area is almost 165,000 square kilometres (64,000 sq mi), with an estimated population of just under 10.7 million. Its name is derived from the capital Tunis located in the northeast. The south of the country is composed of the Sahara desert, with much of the remainder consisting of particularly fertile soil and 1,300 kilometres (810 mi) of coastline. Tunisia has an association agreement with the European Union and is a member of the Arab Maghreb Union, the Arab League, and the African Union. Tunisia has established close relations with France in particular, through economic cooperation, industrial modernization, and privatisation programs.

The Atlas mountains and the Sahara desert both played a prominent role in ancient times, first with the famous Punic city of Carthage, then as the Roman province of Africa, which was known as the "bread basket" of Rome. Later, Tunisia was occupied by Vandals during the 5th century AD, Byzantines in the 6th century, and Arabs in the 8th century. Under the Ottoman Empire, Tunisia was known as "Regency of Tunis". It passed under French protectorate in 1881. After obtaining independence in 1956 the country took the official name of the "Kingdom of Tunisia" at the end of the reign of Lamine Bey and the Husainid Dynasty. With the proclamation of the Tunisian Republic on July 25, 1957, the nationalist leader Habib Bourguiba became its first president. The country was led by the authoritarian government of President Zine El Abidine Ben Ali from 1987 to 2011 before he fled during the Tunisian revolution also known as the start of "The Arab Spring".

Tunisia's climate is temperate in the north, with mild rainy winters and hot, dry summers. The south of the country is desert. The terrain in the north is mountainous, which, moving south, gives way to a hot, dry central plain. The south is semiarid, and merges into the Sahara. A series of salt lakes, known as chotts or shatts, lie in an east-west line at the northern edge of the Sahara, extending from the Gulf of Gabes into Algeria. The lowest point is Shatt al Gharsah, at 17 metres (56 ft) below sea level and the highest is Jebel ech Chambi, at 1,544 metres (5,066 ft).
